Nutrition Coaching and Scope of Practice
I provide evidence-based nutrition education and coaching for healthy clients, within a nutrition coach’s scope of practice: habits, fueling, and weight management support. I am not a licensed dietitian or registered dietitian, and nutrition coaching is not medical care.
Within my scope
- ✅ General nutrition education: macros, micronutrients, hydration
- ✅ Calorie and macronutrient targets for healthy adults
- ✅ Habit-based coaching and behavior change support
- ✅ Fueling guidance around training and sport
- ✅ Weight management support for general-population clients
- ✅ Grocery, meal-prep, and food-swap strategies
Outside my scope: referred out
- ❌ Diagnosing or treating any medical condition
- ❌ Medical nutrition therapy (e.g. for diabetes or kidney disease)
- ❌ Prescribed diets for health or medical conditions
- ❌ Eating disorder treatment or counseling
- ❌ Interpreting lab work or medical test results
If your needs fall in the second column, I’ll refer you to a registered dietitian or your physician, and I’m glad to coordinate with them so your training and their guidance work together.

What Clients Say
“When I started with Isaac I barely knew how to do any lifts. He really focused on teaching me proper safe technique and how to put together a good workout, and I put on more muscle than I expected. Training with Isaac also helped me outside the gym. It gave my weak structure and taught me discipline, and that carried over into school, where my grades really took off.” — Former Youth Client
“I came to Isaac with years of chronic lower back pain and a gym habit I honestly dreaded. Within a month my back felt dramatically better, and now, in my late 40s, I’m the strongest I’ve been in my adult life. What surprised me most is how much I enjoy it. I used to drag myself to the gym. Now I genuinely look forward to every session.” — Current Client, age 48
